Why is it that the strength of our desire is inversely proportional to the proximity of the thing we most want?
Ah, humans, we are a silly lot. Our appetites ought to be sated – at least somewhat – once we approach the object of our desire… whether it be a person or a thing or an activity… but that’s simply not the case, is it? We do want what we want, don’t we? Sadly, most of us want it now.
If absence makes the heart grow fonder, then near-absence is the stuff of wet pussies, salivating mouths, and addled brains.
I want it all…
